George is the founder and principal of Gray Criminal Defence. He draws on extensive trial experience and international human-rights work to deliver strategic, evidence-driven representation in matters ranging from domestic assault and impaired driving to sexual assault and drug-trafficking.
Internationally, George served as a delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross, advocating for fair treatment of individuals charged with serious offences such as war crimes, terrorism, and other armed conflict related offences. He has also worked on behalf of defendants at the International Criminal Court. Closer to home, George has contributed to projects with Lawyers without Borders (Canada) and the Association in Defence of the Wrongfully Convicted.
George is regularly invited to explain breaking criminal-law issues on Canadian news programs, including CBC’s The National and other outlets.

Prior to founding Gray Criminal Defence, George articled and practiced litigation at one of Canada’s top national law firms, appearing at all levels of court in Ontario and preparing written submissions for the Supreme Court of Canada.
He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009. He works in English, French, and Spanish.
